 Last weekend was our scheduled Sunday Adventure Ride but we had our Rally at Mountain Lake so we will share the pics of our awesome experience and keep the stories to ourselves. You’ll have to come next year to see all the awesome experiences we had on our Guided Road Tour, Guided Adventure Tour, Guided Demo Rides, Awesome Dinners, our craft activities, our big dinner with raffles and all kinds of other excitement like Andy’s live performance with his band, and even our guest speaker was set a world record as the first person to ever complete a Cylinder Diversity Challenge in the world. What happens at Mountain Lake…stays at Mountain Lake.

 Nate’s Bike Review: Triumph Bonneville T-100 SIDECAR I’m going to do a combination of a written review with another video review to supplement. This
 is the most fun I’ve ever had on a sidecar rig and with tons of confidence to compliment the fun for the ultimate experience. I’ve been riding Ural’s for many years now but when we transitioned into a service center only for them we had a hole that needed to be filled with something just as unique but way more reliable. The first thing that came to my mind was Triumph!!! Classic in appearance, reliable as all get out, and the perfect machine to bring us back into the sidecar game. The machine was extremely smooth to operate and was more confident as we picked up speed, at the time I was navigating around without a ballast as I was on the way home to pick up my “ballast” hahaha. I was smiling all the way down the road in my ¾ helmet letting all the world know how much fun they are missing out on….flying the car past a carload of high school kids and seeing their eyeballs pop out of their sockets and instantly throw their arms out to point the amazing spectacle out to their buddies. Man it’s awesome being a positive influence on the youth of America, and help influence them into a life altering sport…motorcycling. Then came the high speed test where I was never confident over 65 on the Ural, even after the new fuel injected model was released with the upgraded disc brakes. Now I’m cruising along at 70 and like, “huh, I think we can even faster…and faster…and faster…” (you like the “Faster” movie reference don’t you).  Then comes the “ballast”, the wife, who has been patiently waiting for me to have access to another rig as that is her preferred method of transport due to both of us having bad backs and always something to carry around i.e. the dogs or extra groceries we remembered we forgot. Molly mentioned right away that’s something is different, it’s much more comfortable than the Ural, “ah, I love the armrests as I‘m not burning myself when I get in and contact the side of the tub. The suspension was the next thing she noted, it was such a smoother and more comfortable ride as a passenger in the hack, the suspended car was made for comfort rather than hanging an automatic Grenade launcher off of. Funny comment, “there’s something different about this car that makes it feel so much roomier!!”, I commented back that the car was actually a lot more narrow and she replied with, “well, something feels a lot roomier about it…must be the depth of the car where I can’t even reach the end stretching out my legs.” So how you have it, a more powerful and reliable rig with more comfort for the passenger and plenty of pulling power as we have had three, big, people on the machine to test the pull out power..solid.
